Victoria Coster,
Credit Fix Solutions
Kristy Clucas is a respected leader whose experience and expertise have helped shape the future of the industry’s digital banking landscape.
As the Bank of Queensland Group’s Head of Broker Strategy, Partnerships and Performance, Clucas guides her team with integrity, honesty and empathy to deliver the majority of the Group’s residential mortgage growth through the newly created multi-brand broker channel, which includes Bank of Queensland, ME and Virgin Money.
Clucas counts among her most significant achievements the upcoming launch of Home Loans onto the digital bank and the new end-to-end home loan proposition, which encompassed tremendous effort among many stakeholders, with customers and brokers at the core of the strategy.
“A huge amount of work has gone into the development of our Home Loans proposition, and I am so proud of the work my team and peers have put into this,” she says.
Over her 18-year career, Clucas has broadened and expanded her knowledge while working in diverse roles. She credits the strong leaders and mentors who have guided and challenged her along the way as instrumental to the success she has been able to achieve.
Her collaborative approach and values-driven philosophy enable her to lead high-performing teams that exceed goals and expectations. Clucas doesn’t hesitate to roll up her sleeves and chip in to get the job done when the going gets tough.
Her resiliency and advocacy skills shine as she effectively balances multiple brands’ complex strategies and objectives within the broker channel, each with its own unique proposition and target markets. She works tirelessly to meet these demands and growth targets in a competitive market that is constantly changing.
“I enjoy working closely with people to deliver positive outcomes,” she says. “I have a data-driven approach to decision-making and enjoy utilising data and market insights to make informed decisions and formulate effective strategies.”
Before her current position, Clucas joined Virgin Money as Head of Home Loans and led that department through a tumultuous period of ultra-competitive conditions and pandemic restrictions. Her spirited and tenacious attitude allowed her to excel in the areas of empathetic customer outcomes and sustainable growth.
Her well-rounded leadership and influence have positively impacted the industry and garnered her recognition, such as being named an Elite Woman of 2023 by MPA.

Coster brings depth and breadth of experience to her current position, having joined the industry as a mortgage processor before leaping into broking. She later honed her credit reporting education and credit repair skills for several years while working directly for various brokers.
“Starting Credit Fix Solutions was a deliberate move, as I saw there was a niche in ‘no win, no fee’ credit repair that the industry didn’t currently offer,” she says.
As a CEO, Coster learned through business coaching that there are no challenges in business, only opportunities to learn and grow. She wholeheartedly adopted that perspective, enabling her to overcome the obstacles inherent in team management and implement new and improved systems. She employs several strategies for challenging situations, such as following routines, forward planning, sleeping well and exercising.
“If I make sure I look after myself, have a plan of action, and I’m organised, then I can overcome any challenge (opportunity to learn) if and when it presents itself,” Coster says.
A firm believer in the power of leadership, Coster strives to set an example that the next generation of women and men can look up to. She prides herself on her reliability and trustworthiness and is the first person to show up and the last to leave the workplace.
“I’m genuinely keen to keep bettering myself,” she says. “Even now, at the top of my game, I’m still always learning.”
Guided by her favourite quote, “It’s better to be green and growing than ripe and rotting”, Coster constantly stokes her curiosity and keeps an open mind about life and business. Her kindness, positive attitude, business acumen and dedication to her profession make her a trusted and valuable partner to her peers and the mortgage industry.
