Leadership
Wesley Duesenberg Jr. has been with SIU since 1976. He was previously employed by the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen. He has also worked as a tax accountant for Law Engineering Testing Company.
Duesenberg Jr. is the CEO of SIU and its affiliate companies. He is a past president of the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA; 1987–88) and the founder and past chancellor of the AAMGA University (1988–98). He led the formation of the AAMGA Distinguished Chair in Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) at Georgia State University (GSU). He is currently the treasurer and trustee of the Risk Management Foundation at GSU.
Duesenberg Jr. was the recipient of the Vince Donahue Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Emory University and a master’s degree in both accounting and insurance from GSU.

Wesley (Tripp) Duesenberg III has been with SIU since 2002. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Samford University and attending Georgia State University’s RMI program, he spent time interning with carriers and brokers such as Scottsdale Insurance Company, Bell & Clements (Lloyd’s of London) and American Modern. Since 2002, he has worked in each of the SIU departments, including holding the VP position for marketing and operations.
Duesenberg III was the AAMGA Under Forty Organization President from 2009 to 2010. In 2014, the SIU administration transferred to the third generation as he was promoted to president.

John LaMay has been with SIU since 1991. He oversees all the financial operations of SIU and its affiliated companies. As president of SIUPREM, he is responsible for the integrity and profitable growth of the premium finance company. As a corporate leader, he continues to advance the SIUPREM Cares campaign in the fight against breast cancer.
LaMay holds an associate degree in business administration from DeKalb Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University. Prior to coming to SIU, he worked in the banking industry and then entered the insurance industry as an accountant for an MGA.

Tara Gudenkauf

Tara Gudenkauf has been with SIU since 2023. She oversees the company’s underwriting team for both personal and commercial lines. She holds more than 35 years of combined industry knowledge and is a highly experienced E&S leader.
In addition to cultivating ongoing relationships with many carriers, Gudenkauf brings a great deal of hands-on knowledge for brokerage, P&C, professional liability, environmental, garage and others. She has a strong leadership background and has provided oversight for multiple offices in various states. Prior to joining SIU, Gudenkauf was with another MGA as the head of binding for the entire south region.

Brandon Wiener’s practice focuses on personal, corporate and trust planning for high-net-worth individuals, professionals, executives, owner-managers and their businesses, both domestic and international, including corporate reorganizations, structuring of investments and businesses including professional incorporations, purchases and sales of businesses and real estate, estate planning, immigration and emigration, and non-profit organizations and charities including private foundations. He also advises investment funds and their managers and advisors in connection with structuring and other fund-related tax issues.
Prior to joining Thorsteinssons LLP in 2010, Wiener worked in the litigation and tax departments of the Montreal office of a large national law firm. He also worked as a law clerk for the Honourable Mr. Justice Michel Bastarache at the Supreme Court of Canada. Having a strong background in tax litigation, Wiener also assists and represents clients in their dealings with the taxation authorities in the context of an audit or assessment or voluntary disclosure.

Rhonda English is a CPA, CMA and obtained her Honors Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and her MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Rhonda joined CM Club Group as vice president of insurance, then took the role of vice president corporate marketing, overseeing business insights & analytics and the acquisition and retention of the CM lines of business. In 2016, she was named chief marketing officer, taking on additional responsibility for travel and membership product, digital, and the government & community relations advocacy team.
