“My strongest professional quality is my ability to build trust and long-term relationships, whether with clients, colleagues, or stakeholders”
Danny Ibrahim,

By his mid-20s, Naseem Rasekh had already reached a milestone many brokers spend years chasing. Named an MPA Rising Star for 2026, the investment lending manager at The Australian Lending & Investment Centre built his reputation early through technical depth, rapid growth and a client-focused approach grounded in education and strategy. At 25, he also became the youngest broker within his firm, a milestone he counts among his proudest achievements.
Rasekh did not begin with mortgage broking in mind. About six years ago, he planned to pursue investment banking and was initially reluctant to consider broking, believing banks would always hold the advantage due to their size. That perspective shifted during university when a friend invited him to spend a day inside the lending business.
Observing how advisers discussed structure, analysed cash flow, assessed risk appetite and educated clients on long-term strategy changed his assumptions about where influence truly resides in finance.
“Experiencing this approach genuinely sparked my interest, and I immediately knew this was the career path I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life,” he says.
Since joining the firm in March 2021, Rasekh has worked through each role within the business, beginning in a foundational position before moving into an analyst role where he spent over a year developing technical expertise in lending structures and risk assessment. His accreditation as an investment lending manager in October 2023 marked another step forward.
Growth followed quickly. In his first year as a broker, Rasekh settled more than $9 million in loans. By year two, that figure had climbed past $27 million, effectively tripling his volume. The challenge was not only handling more transactions but remaining highly accessible to every client while preserving service standards. He responded by refining processes, strengthening time management, and introducing systems that maintained responsiveness as volumes increased.
His work centres on strategic, long-term solutions. Rasekh points to in-depth industry knowledge, organised workflow and effective oversight of time and staff as qualities that support consistent outcomes. He takes ownership of each file and focuses on accuracy, clear communication and strong results. That consistency has helped him earn trust not only from clients but also from referral partners.
Mentorship has shaped much of that development. From the outset, he prioritised learning from advisers recognised among Australia’s top 100 brokers and continues to observe their approach closely.
“Over the past five years working closely with them, they have guided me not only in professional skills and decision-making but also in developing the right mindset and personal discipline necessary for long-term success,” Rasekh adds.
Recognition as a Rising Star has reinforced the habits he credits for his progress. Showing up each day, staying persistent, and remaining resilient are, in his view, noticed and appreciated. The honour has also expanded his ambitions, bringing the prospect of joining Australia’s top brokers into closer reach than he once imagined.
For Rasekh, progress comes from continuous learning and taking responsibility for results. The Rising Star recognition marks an early chapter in a career defined by steady growth and a clear commitment to helping clients build lasting financial strength.
