Daryn Heffernan started in the finance industry in the 1990s, working for ANZ as a senior lender. He had a number of roles in the industry before landing at St. George Bank where he worked as senior lender, lending champion, and finally as team leader of the Broker Mortgage Services unit. Heffernan was then approached by accounting firm The Practice and commenced there in 2009 as finance manager, heading up their finance broking team. He transformed and grew the business over the next five years to a highly successful division, working closely with the firm’s large team of accountants and financial planners. He was also a member of the Wealth Management Investment committee at The Practice.
In 2014, Heffernan teamed up with friend Chantal and started Trusted Finance Solutions. They each currently run their own separate, unique businesses under the same brand. Heffernan enjoys building his team, which includes three brokers and a number of support officers and having them all work in cohesion to obtain great results for clients. He has a wealth of knowledge in finance and thrives on educating and passing on this information to help his clients understand these concepts in greater detail. He has a passion for both property and financial markets and enjoys helping clients achieve their property dreams.
Heffernan holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from La Trobe University. He is a qualified Credit Adviser and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute, a Certificate IV in Financial Services, and a Diploma of Mortgage Broking Management. Furthermore, he is a member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia and Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
In his spare time, he likes to travel overseas with his wife and two children, go to the movies, and dine out.
