With a background in wealth management, Son Pham has been a mortgage broker at Rethink Financing for the last six years. He has worked for major institutions, including Commonwealth Bank and AMP, and in private practice as a financial planner for the last 10 years. Pham branched into lending during these years as it made sense for him. As a financial planner, he understands the clients' whole financial position, including their liabilities. He wears two hats, which gives him tremendous knowledge of strategies and structures.
Pham and his team do not like to use the word “debt”, as for them, it sounds negative. They use the term “leverage”, as it sounds more positive. Pham has become so busy with lending that he decided to give up financial planning. In the last six years, he and his team have been educating their clients on the power of positively geared properties through commercial property investments. Today, they have over eight brokers, a small support team, and are looking to expand the company. For Pham, commercial lending is a unique and specialised sector, and with his team’s wealth of knowledge, they continue to grow and help their clients leverage this rewarding sector.
In his down time, he enjoys spending time with his family, gaming and motorsports.
