Paula Oliveira has been with BMO since 2006, building an accomplished career across a variety of retail banking leadership roles, including regional vice president for both the Downtown Toronto and Toronto West markets. She likes to say that she was “raised in retail,” where she has demonstrated immense success in optimizing customer experience, delivering sales results and maximizing profitability, all while ensuring superb productivity in her market.
One of Oliveira’s key strengths is her ability to lead and develop individuals and teams by identifying and harnessing talent and coaching to higher levels of performance. She has consistently built high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, and a commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential. In her role as regional vice president at BMO BrokerEdge, Ontario and Atlantic Provinces, she continues to focus on team development, business growth, and strengthening broker relationships.
Throughout her career, Oliveira has been recognized for her leadership, business impact, and commitment to people and community. Her contributions have been celebrated through numerous BMO accolades, as well as industry and community leadership awards. She was named one of CMP’s Top 50 Women of Influence in both 2024 and 2025 and was recognized among the Global 100 – World’s Best Mortgage Leaders in 2025.
Beyond her professional achievements, Oliveira has dedicated significant time to community service and governance, serving in leadership roles with organizations such as the Abrigo Centre and Exhibition Place Toronto, while also supporting local business, cultural, and charitable initiatives. Her longstanding commitment to mentorship, inclusion, and community development reflects her belief that strong organizations are built through meaningful relationships and service to others.
Based in Toronto, Oliveira enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid traveler and regularly visits her native country, Portugal, and the beautiful city of Lisbon, where she maintains close ties to family and community.
