“No matter how many clients I have, I make sure to call each one personally every quarter. It’s a chance to not only update them on their portfolio, but also check on how they’re doing personally”

Brooke Reynolds is the director and mortgage financial adviser at Rapson Loans and Finance. She has successfully leveraged her leadership skills to foster an exceptional team and work environment where all members can thrive.
With a unique career trajectory that began as a relief teller at Westpac in 2002, she has since held various roles with increasing responsibility. Driven by her goal-oriented nature and strong work ethic, Brooke is committed to “doing as much as possible” to achieve success for herself and her clients. Her belief that everyone wins when everyone is successful is a testament to her team-building abilities.
In navigating challenges, such as serving as the intermediary between the bank and a client, Brooke relies on constant client communication and liaison with the banks to ensure that the application process remains on track.
To date, her most significant achievement has been her appointment as a director at Rapson Loans and Finance, a role she pursued with great pride after starting her career as a relief teller years ago. In her current position, she dedicates considerable time and energy to empowering her team and utilising her leadership skills to enable everyone to flourish.
“I want to grow the most successful team, an exceptional team where everyone is successful,” says Brooke. “The achievement of everyone, rather than one individual shining, is really important to me.”
Her strongest quality is her solution-oriented mindset. Instead of focusing on problems or barriers, Brooke sees opportunities for different options and solutions, which has helped her team greatly benefit their clients by successfully securing mortgages. She is passionate about this, recognising that many people have missed opportunities and homes due to a lack of solutions.
“I feel like there are lots of people out there that have suffered from missed opportunities and ultimately missed out on homes they might have otherwise owned,” she says. “I’m also very responsible, so I would never put my clients in a financial situation that would not be suitable for them.”
Brooke's calm demeanour is another asset that has earned her the respect of her team and clients. Her positive attitude has served her well over the years, enabling her to remain focused on solutions, regardless of the economic and housing markets’ state.
Throughout her two-decade-long career, Brooke has weathered economic crises, natural disasters, and the pandemic, always maintaining her solutions-oriented approach. Her outlook is one of positivity, with every financial and housing climate challenge presenting opportunities for success.
Brooke's approach is to never label something as a failure but rather as a learning opportunity. By using failures to learn and improve, she has developed a reputation as a forward-thinking and innovative leader in her field.
As a director, Brooke has ambitious plans for the industry's future. She is currently developing several ideas that seek to improve the sector's overall performance and is keen to implement them soon. Her future is one of promise, and she invites everyone to “watch this space”.
