Jacqui Hemi is a highly experienced mortgage adviser and franchise owner with more than 20 years in banking and finance across New Zealand and Australia. She began her career in a bank soon after finishing high school and has since worked across a range of roles, building deep knowledge that now underpins her practical, client-focused advice.
In 2019, Hemi followed her long-held passion for helping people by becoming a mortgage adviser and purchasing her own Mike Pero Mortgages franchise in Taranaki. This step allowed her to combine her financial expertise with what she loves most: guiding people towards their property and financial goals. She works with first home buyers, growing families and investors, always taking the time to understand their situation and provide clear, personalised solutions.
Hemi lives in Taranaki with her husband and their two teenage children. Outside of work, she enjoys everything the region has to offer – from the beach to the mountain – as well as spending time with family and friends.
Deeply community-minded, Hemi values genuine relationships and enjoys giving back wherever she can. For her, the true reward is seeing the positive difference she can make, which is why her work rarely feels like “just a job.”
