Simi Sethu,
Kripa Financial Solutions
In just two and a half years, Jenny Campbell has led Finsure NZ from launch to a growing national presence, building the business from the ground up and establishing a reputation that advisers trust. Named an Elite Woman 2026 by NZ Adviser, the country manager is recognised for combining commercial accountability with a genuine commitment to the people she serves.
Her career reflects both opportunity and intention. She gravitated towards people-focused roles early on, a path that drew her into a BDM position and set the foundation for what followed. Running her own business later gave her control over her direction and the freedom to decide what came next.
“It’s meant that at this stage of my career, I’ve been able to be quite intentional about what I wanted to do next,” she says.
That sense of ownership shaped her decision to lead Finsure NZ. Establishing the business required commitment on a professional and personal level, along with confidence in a model that differed from what many advisers had previously experienced. The progress achieved in a short period has reinforced her belief in both the proposition and the team delivering it.
A central part of her role involves expanding advisers’ understanding of what Finsure offers. The group is not a traditional aggregator, and its range of services and support extends well beyond a standard model. Helping advisers recognise that breadth and use it to strengthen their businesses has become a defining priority of her leadership.
She operates in an environment marked by ongoing regulatory reform and rapid technological advancement, while customer expectations continue to rise. Keeping pace requires focus and a willingness to keep learning, an approach she views as one of the more engaging aspects of the role.
Campbell identifies her ability to genuinely connect with people as her strongest professional quality. Relationships matter to her, and so does standing by her word. “If I say I’ll do something, I’ll move heaven and earth to make sure it happens,” she says. “People need to know they can rely on you.”
That consistency has underpinned her 20 years in the industry and continues to shape how advisers and colleagues experience her leadership.
Her style is direct and transparent. “What you see is what you get,” she says, describing an approach that balances honesty with practical support. She positions herself alongside advisers and her team as they work towards their goals, guided by a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Campbell resists framing herself as someone who stands apart from her peers, preferring instead to focus on doing the job well and supporting those around her. If she has played even a small part in someone else’s success, she considers that a good day’s work.
Recognition as an Elite Woman feels surreal, particularly given the women in the sector she admires. If her visibility helps others see what is possible, she considers that meaningful.
Campbell wants to be known as someone who ran her own race, did things her way, and stayed true to her values. Integrity matters deeply to her, and remaining consistent in who she is and what she stands for has defined her leadership throughout her career.
