“No matter how many clients I have, I make sure to call each one personally every quarter. It’s a chance to not only update them on their portfolio, but also check on how they’re doing personally”

Amanda (Mandy) Jordan has found the ideal career that combines her passion for numbers, property and people.
Despite her busy schedule, which includes running the most prosperous brokerage in the South Island and volunteering in her community, the leading mortgage adviser at Mortgage Supply Company Invercargill manages to make it all look easy. She has three children, and her passion for everything she does keeps her motivated and on the leading edge of an ever-evolving industry.
Her dedication and inspired approach to her profession, combined with plenty of long hours and sacrifice, has enabled the leading adviser to reach new heights of success, including settling over $10m in one month in her coverage area, which has a smaller average loan size than the rest of the country.
“It’s beautiful when a career and a passion come together, and I’m forever grateful,” she says. “Under the guidance of David Windler, our Southland business has reached levels I never dreamed possible.”
Jordan developed a strong interest in the mortgage adviser role while working in a bank’s adviser assessment unit. Her passion for the industry propelled her into a newly created loan-writing position for one of New Zealand’s top brokers, and the sky was the limit.
Jordan’s dedication to her work and community has earned her the respect of her peers. Her positive and outgoing outlook and expertise inspire trust in the diverse range of clients she assists, including first-home buyers and property investors with large portfolios.
Multi-tasking comes second nature to Jordan, whose customer-first mentality means consistently exceeding the expectations of those she does business with.
“This is all possible with the professional networks I have around me and the most incredibly passionate and caring staff to ensure clients get the best outcomes,” she says of the elements contributing to her competitive edge.
Being physically located in a different community than her Auckland head office hasn’t slowed Jordan down, as technology helps her maintain thriving relationships with colleagues. She also stays connected through the solid networks she has built locally.
Being named one of NZ Adviser’s Top Advisers for 2023 is the latest recognition in a long list of industry accolades Jordan has received, which include Mortgage Supply Company’s Director’s Award and Adviser of the Year, Astute Financial’s Business Growth Award and NZA’s Young Gun of the Year in 2020 and 2021.
