Toby Shi is a mortgage adviser at Plaxo Mortgages. Previously, he spent 10 years with ANZ in multiple roles, including business manager and product manager. Before joining ANZ, he worked as a commercial manager for the Bank of East Asia.
Shi holds a master’s degree in finance from Victoria University and has a wealth of experience and networks in investment and other business areas. He is currently a member of the Auckland Investor Association and the Auckland Master Builder Association. He completed his bachelor’s degree in commerce, majoring in economics, finance and accounting, at the University of Auckland in 2005. He worked at HSBC Private Bank as a credit manager for eight years and specialised in risk management at a securities firm for another few years. Leung joined Plaxo Mortgages in 2015, and he is one of the most experienced financial advisers on the team. He focuses on customer relationships and provides valuable advice to his customers. His ambition is to help customers achieve both short- and long-term goals.

He joined Helia in 2022 as chief commercial officer, where he leads growth strategy and drives key partnerships. Prior to Helia, McAweeney served as CCO at HCF and held senior sales and service roles at Rabobank across Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from University College Dublin and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
