Charlotte Allen has been chief risk & compliance officer at Key Group, a later-life lending group that includes More 2 Life and Key Retirement Solutions for the last four years.
Allen has worked in risk and compliance for over 23 years, holding executive and board-level positions for the last 14, and was previously chief risk and compliance officer at Cabot Credit Management and Wescot Credit Services.
She is a member of the Equity Release Council’s Standards Committee and plays an active role in the later-life lending sector, working with trade body, regulatory and other stakeholders, championing responsible growth and good customer outcome delivery across the later-life mortgage sector.
Allen brings a forward-thinking mindset to compliance, seeing it not as a barrier but as a strategic enabler for sustainable business success. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a champion for women in the industry, providing mentoring, coaching and advocacy that helps others gain visibility and confidence.
Her fair, balanced and collaborative leadership has also led to her taking over the remit of HR and information security for Key Group, uniting them under the same values of integrity and continuous improvement for the benefit of consumers and colleagues.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
His experience isn’t limited to Canada. Ibrahim has worked in the US and UAE, which shaped his global perspective and comfort with adapting to different markets. He thrives on risk, viewing setbacks as stepping stones to progress.
“I’ve always believed that if you love what you do, you’ll never settle, and that attitude has guided every decision I’ve made,” he adds.
