With over 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, including roles with some of the sector’s major players, Gavin Richardson has provided expert advice on mortgages, life cover, pensions, and investments. Now serving as the managing director at MFB, he is responsible for steering the business forward and supporting teams of buy-to-let, commercial and residential brokers in their daily operations. In addition to his expertise in property finance, Richardson is a passionate rugby fan and spent five years as a professional coach.

David Menezes is the chief risk officer of Peak Re, overseeing the company’s risk management, compliance and legal functions. He has been with Peak Re since 2016 and has more than 17 years of experience in both regional and international insurance and reinsurance, covering different actuarial, reserving and controlling functions. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and has supported numerous industry working groups to advise on the implementation of IFRS17 for general insurance and the launch of a risk-based capital solvency standard.

He’s an actuary with over 30 years of experience in financial services in roles including CEO, CRO and group chief actuary. He’s held directorships in the UK, Bermuda, Ireland, India, South Africa, Malta and Luxembourg, and has been on the Council of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Thomas is dyslexic, which he believes can bring a different perspective.
