Launched in March 2022, Quantum Mortgages is an intermediary-only specialist lender initially focused on the needs of experienced landlords. Its team understands buy-to-let and has worked with intermediaries for virtually its entire career. This deep understanding of both landlords’ and intermediaries’ needs has led to the creation of what it considers a unique proposition.
While most lenders continue to pursue the technology-driven dream of automation and offering mortgages as quickly as possible, Quantum Mortgages is more focused on providing landlords and mortgage intermediaries with greater product choice, more useful and modern lending criteria, and the ability to listen to and understand individual circumstances.
By combining the latest technology with skilled human underwriting, the firm’s unique underwriting model provides intermediary partners with a seamless, paperless and hassle-free application process – using technology to help humans make common-sense, rational lending decisions rather than humans building technology to make irrational lending decisions.
As of September, Quantum Mortgages has surpassed £1 billion of mortgage lending since completing its first loan in July 2022, marking a significant milestone in just over four years. Quantum has successfully established a scalable and diversified funding platform through its Bletchley Park Funding securitisation programme. The business has now completed three securitisation transactions.
As Orion180 introduces new coverage options and deepens product offerings, it is upskilling employees to become experts in the next generation of property protection. Retention is a cornerstone of its service standards, supported by regular feedback loops, tracked engagement, and clear internal career paths that give top talent room to advance. With a rapidly growing national presence, Orion180 offers flexible and standard home insurance solutions, including FLEX and HO-3 coverage, as well as DP Landlord, flood and jewelry protection across AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MS, NC, OH, SC, and TX. Its proprietary MY180 platform serves as essential, high-impact technology for agents and insureds alike, further enhanced by smart tech innovations like the AWTOS water damage mitigation system and the PRYZMIQ home self-inspection tool. Orion180 proudly collaborates with more than 10,000 partner agents to serve 500,000 customers, safeguarding more than $150 billion in assets. Its unwavering commitment to operational excellence and exceptional agent and customer service is demonstrated by an impressive track record: 17-day average claims resolution and 5,000 five-star Google reviews.
